Navigating the platform

MaintSpace is organized to reflect how maintenance operations work in practice. The platform is divided into modules, with a sidebar that gives you quick access to everything you need — from inventory and purchasing to maintenance planning and administration.

Main navigation

You navigate MaintSpace using the left-hand sidebar.

Each section represents a key part of your operation:

  • Inventory – Manage parts, tools, and stock

  • Purchasing – Order parts and manage suppliers

  • Maintenance Planning – Plan maintenance and track aircraft status

  • Production – Execute work orders and log time

  • Engineering – Manage technical records and directives

  • Administration – Manage users, roles, and system settings

Click a section to expand it and access its pages.


Working within a module

Each module contains multiple pages for specific tasks.

For example, in Inventory, you will find:

  • Stock

  • Items

  • Serialized Items

  • Tool Instances

  • Locations

  • Batches

  • Receiving Inspections

  • Quarantines

  • Reservations

  • Adjustments

  • Stock Counts

  • Transactions

  • Documents

Use these pages depending on what you need to do — for example, creating items, receiving parts, or tracking stock levels.


Dashboards

Most modules include a dashboard that gives you a quick overview of your current status.

For example, the Inventory dashboard shows:

  • Items on hand, on order, and reserved

  • Low stock and reorder alerts

  • Expiring or expired batches

  • Pending actions like receiving inspections or stock counts

Use dashboards to identify what requires attention before starting your work.


Quick actions

At the top of many pages, you will find quick action buttons such as:

  • New Item

  • Receive Items

These let you perform common tasks without navigating through multiple pages.


Switching between organizations

If you have access to multiple organizations, you can switch between them from the top navigation.

This allows you to work across different operations while keeping data separated.


User menu

In the top right corner, you can access your user options:

  • View your profile

  • Impersonate users (if authorized)

  • Log ou

  • Start your day from a dashboard to see what needs attention

  • Use the sidebar to move between modules quickly

  • Use quick actions for common tasks to save time

  • Always work within the correct organization when managing data
