When to log time entries

You should log time entries when:

  • Working on a work order

Accurate time tracking helps ensure proper documentation and accountability.

Log a time entry

Follow these steps to log time:

1. Go to Production → Time Entries
2. Click “New Time Entry” (or log time from a work order)
3. Select the related work order
4. Enter the time spent
5. Add notes or description of the work performed
6. Save the entry

Logging time from a work order

You can also log time directly while working:

  • Open the work order

  • Add a time entry from within the task or work order view

  • Record time as you perform the work

This ensures more accurate tracking.

What to include in a time entry

A time entry should include:

  • Work order – The task you worked on

Clear entries improve traceability and reporting.
