How to create a work package

Work packages allow you to group and plan multiple maintenance tasks together. Use them to prepare work in advance and reduce aircraft downtime.

Before you start

Before creating a work package, make sure you have:

  • An aircraft selected

  • Maintenance tasks or schedules to include

  • An understanding of when the work should be performed

This helps ensure the work package is complete and ready for execution.


Create a work package

Follow these steps to create a work package:

1. Go to Maintenance Planning → Work Packages
2. Click “New Work Package”
3. Select the aircraft
4. Add tasks or include items from maintenance schedules
5. Set planned dates (if applicable)
6. Save the work package

Adding tasks to the work package

When creating a work package, you can:

  • Add tasks manually

  • Include tasks from maintenance schedules

  • Group related maintenance activities

Make sure all required work is included before execution.


What happens after creating a work package

Once the work package is created:

  • It provides a structured overview of planned work

  • Required parts can be prepared from Inventory

  • Tasks can be converted into work orders

  • Work can be executed in Production

  • Ensure required parts are available

  • Confirm timing and planning
