How to create a work order
Work orders define the maintenance work to be performed on an aircraft. Use work orders to plan tasks, assign work, and ensure all maintenance is properly documented.
Before you start
Before creating a work order, make sure you have:
-
An aircraft created in the system
-
A clear understanding of the maintenance task
-
Required parts available or planned
This helps ensure the work order is accurate and ready for execution.

Follow these steps to create a work order:
1. Go to Maintenance Planning → Work Orders
2. Click “New Work Order”
3. Select the aircraft
4. Enter the work order details
5. Add tasks or descriptions of the work to be performed

What to include in a work order
A work order should clearly define the work to be done.
Include:
-
Aircraft – The aircraft the work applies to
-
Description – What needs to be done
-
Tasks – Specific actions or steps
-
Planned dates – When the work should be carried out

Clear work orders help ensure consistent execution and documentation.

-
Prepare everything before starting the work
This helps avoid delays during execution.
